How to convert SVG to PDF

  1. Drop your SVG files into the box, or paste SVG code.

  3. Add a margin if your printer can’t print to the edge.
  4. Download: one PDF with a page for each SVG, or separate PDFs in a ZIP.

A real vector PDF, not a picture in a PDF

Many converters turn your artwork into an image first, then wrap the image in a PDF. Here your shapes go into the PDF as paths, so edges stay sharp however large it’s printed, and apps like Illustrator and Affinity can still open and edit them. The preview shows where your artwork sits on the page. Blur and shadow filters are the main exception, because PDF has no direct match for them, and the tool tells you when a file uses them.

Questions

How do I convert SVG to PDF?

Drop the SVG into the box above, choose a page size, and click Download PDF. It takes a second or two.

Is the PDF vector or an image?

Vector. Your shapes are written into the PDF as paths, so it stays sharp at any size and print shops can scale it. If your SVG contains an embedded photo, that photo stays a photo.

Can I combine several SVGs into one PDF?

Yes. Drop them all in and choose One PDF to get one page per SVG, in the order listed. Choose Separate PDFs to get a ZIP with one PDF for each.

What does Fit to artwork do?

The page is made exactly the size of your SVG, so there’s no white border. This suits print shops and stickers. A4 and Letter place the artwork in the middle of a standard sheet, scaled to fit.

Why does my text look different in the PDF?

SVG text is stored by font name, and the PDF uses a standard font in its place. To keep your exact lettering, convert text to outlines (shapes) in your design app before saving the SVG. SVGs made by Vectacle are already shapes.

Why are shadows or blurs missing?

Filters like blur and drop shadow have no direct match in PDF, so they may not carry over. Vectacle tells you if your SVG uses them. If you need them, flatten them first or use a large PNG instead.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDF is made by your own browser, so your files stay on your computer.
