About Vectacle

Vectacle turns a PNG, JPG or WebP image into a clean SVG: logos, lettering, stickers and clip art become smooth vector shapes you can scale, edit, print or cut. It was made for people who cut vinyl and paper on a Cricut or Silhouette, sell designs online, or just need a sharp copy of a blurry logo.

Your images aren’t stored

Many online converters keep a copy of what you upload. Vectacle keeps nothing. On most computers the whole tracing engine runs right in your browser; on phones and slower computers a picture may be converted on our server instead, where it is processed in memory and deleted as soon as the SVG is sent back. That makes it safe for client logos and unreleased designs, and there is no account, no queue and no file-size fee.

What it does well

Who makes it

Vectacle is made by Jugoslav, an independent developer in the UK. He also makes Scaylr, a set of free browser-based image tools. Vectacle grew out of Scaylr’s PNG-to-SVG converter and now has its own home, where the tracing engine keeps improving every week.

Every engine update is checked by eye on a large set of real designs before it goes live: a cleaner result matters more than a higher score.

Converting and downloading are free while Vectacle is new. No sign-up is needed.
