HEIC to JPG, right in your browser
Turn iPhone photos into JPG or PNG files that open everywhere. Your photos stay on your device.
How to convert HEIC to JPG
- Drop your photos into the box, or choose them from your phone or computer.
- Pick JPG or PNG, and a quality for JPG.
- Download each photo, or all of them in a ZIP.
- Optional: click Turn into SVG to send a picture to the main converter.
Why convert HEIC photos?
iPhones save photos as HEIC because the files are small, but plenty of software still can’t open them: many Windows PCs, older apps, online forms and marketplaces. JPG works nearly everywhere. Moving photos to a Windows computer is one of the most common reasons, and it’s also useful when an upload form rejects your picture. Because the conversion happens on your own device, private photos never leave it.

Questions
How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Drop your HEIC photos into the box above. They convert straight away, and you can download them one by one or together in a ZIP.
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads use by default. The files are small and good quality, but many Windows computers, websites and apps can’t open them, which is why a JPG is often easier.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
JPG for sharing and uploading, because the files are smaller. PNG if you want to keep every detail or plan to edit the picture further, but expect much larger files.
Which quality setting should I use?
High suits most photos and printing. Medium is a good choice for email and web use. Small gives the lightest files, with some visible softness.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your photos are converted by your own browser and stay on your device.
Is the photo’s location and date kept?
No. Details like camera, date and GPS location aren’t copied into the new file. That’s handy for sharing, but keep your original if you need that information.
Can I turn a HEIC photo into an SVG?
Yes. Click Turn into SVG and the picture opens in the Vectacle converter. Logos, drawings and simple graphics work best. Busy photos give very large SVG files.
Why does the first conversion take a few seconds?
The HEIC decoder loads the first time you use the tool, and large photos take a moment to decode. It’s all happening on your own device, so older phones take a little longer.
