How to turn a sticker into an SVG
- Drop the sticker or clip art as a PNG, JPG or WebP. Clip art / stickers and Remove background are already on.
- Check the colours. If shades you want kept are merged, raise the colour count; if you see extra shades, lower it.
- Zoom in on outlines and small details like sparkles and highlights.
- Download the SVG, or a sharp PNG with a transparent background.

Why vector stickers print better
A sticker PNG that looks fine on screen often prints with soft edges and a faint halo where the background used to be. As an SVG, every edge is a clean curve at any size, from a laptop sticker to a car decal, and the cut line follows the design exactly.
Guides and articles
How to make stickers with a Cricut
Make stickers with a Cricut step by step: prepare the design with a white border, Print then Cut on sticker paper, and fix common cutting problems.
TipsShould you remove the background before vectorizing?
When to remove an image’s background before converting it to SVG, when to keep it, and what happened on four real designs: stickers, clip art, a logo and line art.

Questions
Does it keep the white border around my sticker?
Yes. The white border is part of the design, so it stays. Only the plain background around the sticker is removed when Remove background is on.
Can I use the SVG for print then cut?
Yes. Download the SVG (or a large PNG) and use your cutting machine’s print then cut feature. The outer edge of the sticker becomes the cut line.
How many colours will it use?
Auto counts the colours your sticker really uses. Use the colour slider to set a number yourself, for example to match the vinyl colours you own.
Can I sell stickers made from the SVG?
The files you make are yours to use, including commercially, as long as you have the rights to the original artwork.
Is it free and private?
Yes. It’s free while Vectacle is new, there’s no sign-up, and your sticker isn’t stored.
